Finally got my hands-on the MobileMapper 100 yesterday. It is a fantastically built device and even comes with a desktop cradle. Some will say why is that so important but after 15 years in the business I can't tell you the number of times I have seen customers with devices strewn across desks, wires everywhere making a complete mess. The cradle means the device is stored upright while charging and connecting to a PC. There is also a good old serial port. Brilliant idea!
We were stood demoing the unit by a large building and still achieved 80mm accuracy with no hassle what-so-ever. Bearing in-mind this was our first test, as the unit is the first in the UK, the ease at which accuracy was achieved was very encouraging. I will get my first full play next week so will bring you more details.

MobileMapper 100 Has Arrived
The new Ashtech MobileMapper 100 has now arrived at our office. I should get my hands on it next week. I will post a review as soon as I have chance to play with it. Looking forward to this immensely as this device looks very interesting and I feel is going to re-define the hand-held GNSS market.
